Transform Your Bonita Garage With Beautiful Epoxy Flooring
Bonita feels more rural than the cities around it, and its garages ask more of epoxy garage flooring. Ranch homes in the Sweetwater River valley sit on big lots, and many have oversized garages, RV bays and detached shops that see trailers, tractors and horse gear along with the family cars.
Floors like that take real abuse, and bare concrete shows it fast. Epoxy garage flooring gives them a thick, sealed surface that handles heavy equipment and cleans up with a hose and a mop. We grind every slab, install a Mil-Spec coating system, and back the bond with a lifetime adhesion warranty.
Nu Garage & Epoxy has been in business since 2005 under its original owner, and Bonita properties are some of our favorite projects because of their size.
A Family Business Since 2005
Veteran and first responder ownership sits behind this family business. Nathan Obermeyer founded it in 2005, and we’ve coated garages, barns and shops across Bonita for years.
We don’t hire out the work. Your crew is family and long-term technicians, and nobody is paid to talk you into a bigger job.
Even large Bonita garages and shops can usually be quoted by phone. Tell us the square footage and how we get in, and you’ll get a guaranteed price.

What Makes Our Epoxy Garage Flooring System Different
Our coating system goes on thicker than typical residential products, and that extra build matters most on big, hard working floors.
Many home garage coatings are thin single layer products that wear through under heavy equipment. Our epoxy garage flooring is a Military Specification (Mil-Spec) coating system with a much heavier build. These questions will help you compare any installers you’re considering.
Mil-Spec coatings are made for hangar and industrial floors. On a Bonita property, that means a floor that can take a loaded trailer, a riding mower, a dropped hitch or a spilled bucket of feed without chipping.
Concrete Preparation Is Everything in Epoxy Garage Flooring
Large slabs come with large problems: oil and fluid stains from equipment, cracks from settling over a wide pour, and old sealers or paint from earlier owners. Coat over those and the floor will eventually peel.
We diamond grind the entire slab to CSP 3 to 5, which removes the stained top layer and roughens the concrete so the base coat bonds into it. Cracks are cut out and filled before coating.
On a big RV bay or shop, grinding is the longest part of the job, and it’s the part that keeps the floor attached for decades.
A Lifetime Adhesion Warranty You Can Rely On
In 2005 we put the industry’s first lifetime adhesion warranty on garage floor coatings, and it still covers every Bonita floor we finish.
Two decades of steady work across San Diego County back it up, along with California license #1029937, full insurance, an A+ BBB rating, and years of reviews on Thumbtack, Yelp, Google and Facebook.
Beyond Garage Floors: A Complete Concrete Coating Solution
Bigger lots mean more outdoor concrete. We coat pool decks, patios, walkways and long driveways with a urethane polymer system that handles direct sun.
For barns, shops and commercial spaces, we install industrial floor coatings that stand up to equipment, chemicals and heavy traffic.
Garage Organization Designed to Complement Your Floor
Big garages fill up fast. We design garage layouts around the new floor, with overhead racks for seasonal gear, wall systems for tools and tack, and cabinets that keep the work area clear.
Overhead, we use MonsterRax and Safe Racks. On the walls, Flow Wall cabinets and panels.
What to Expect During Epoxy Garage Flooring Installation
A standard Bonita garage takes about a day, and bigger shops or RV bays can take two. We’ll give you the schedule when we quote. Install day starts with clearing the slab, covering the walls and doors, and grinding.
Inspection
After the grind and crack repair, we look over the whole slab. Then the epoxy base coat goes on, chip is broadcast edge to edge, excess chip is scraped once it cures, and a polyaspartic clear coat finishes it.
Dry Time
Walk on it after about a day, and wait two days before driving or parking equipment on it. Cool valley nights can slow the topcoat, and we’ll confirm the timing before we leave.
Next Morning
The finished epoxy garage flooring won’t yellow in sunlight, and it stands up to oil, hydraulic fluid and most chemicals. Hose it down or mop it with mild soap. For shops and barns, we can add anti-slip texture to the top coat.

Bonita Epoxy Garage Flooring FAQ
Can you coat an RV garage or oversized bay?
Yes. Larger slabs follow the same grind and coat process, and big bays may take a second day.
Will the floor hold a loaded horse trailer?
The Mil-Spec system is built for heavy loads. As with any floor, the concrete underneath has to be sound, so we check for cracks and repair them first.
Do you coat barns and detached shops?
Yes. We coat detached shops, barns and workspaces, and we can add anti-slip texture for wet or dusty areas.
How do I clean equipment fluids off the floor?
Wipe up spills, then mop with warm water and mild soap. The coating resists oil and hydraulic fluid, so stains stay on the surface.
Can you coat my long driveway too?
Yes. We use urethane polymer systems for driveways and other outdoor concrete that sits in full sun.
